Bay Court Care Home Comes Together for Largs Beach Clean

Residents, staff and local volunteers from Bay Court Care Home came together for a community beach clean in Largs, helping to keep one of the area's much-loved outdoor spaces clean and welcoming.
The beach clean took place on Thursday 6 August, with participants heading out along the shoreline during the late morning to collect litter and help make a positive difference to the local environment. It was a wonderful opportunity for residents to get involved in their community while spending time outdoors and enjoying the beautiful surroundings.

For residents at Bay Court, the local area is an important part of everyday life. Many enjoy walking around Largs and taking in the fresh air, scenery and familiar surroundings, making it particularly meaningful to play a part in looking after them.
The event also provided a chance for residents, staff and volunteers to spend time together outside of the home. Working as a team, everyone helped collect litter before returning to Bay Court for some well-earned refreshments.
Following the clean-up, participants were invited into the Bay Court café to enjoy complimentary hot and cold drinks and some home baking as a thank you for their efforts. It was a lovely way to round off the morning and gave everyone the opportunity to relax, chat and reflect on what they had achieved together.

Community activities such as the beach clean are an important part of life at Bay Court. They give residents opportunities to remain active and involved in the local area, while also supporting a cause that benefits the wider Largs community.
The team at Bay Court would like to thank all the residents, staff and local volunteers who gave up their time to take part. Their enthusiasm and support helped make the event a success.
Bay Court hopes to make similar community events a regular part of life at the home, creating more opportunities for residents to stay connected with the local community and enjoy the places that mean so much to them.
